The Trust is seeking a Chair from June 2019. The Trust is an independent, charitable, non-profit organisation which was set up in 2005.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about donkey and mule welfare in New Zealand. The person needs to be well organised, diplomatic, have patience and excellent people skills, and enjoy working with others. They need to have a knowledge of donkeys. All the welfare and rehoming cases to date have been donkeys.

The Trust Chair runs a weekly meeting by email with the Trustees. The Trustees disperse the Trust funds on application to the Rehoming Centres who rescue donkeys and also other people who may have rescued a donkey. The Trust has an education role and publishes high-quality flyers on specific areas of information on donkey care. The Trust publishes a bi-annual newsletter which it circulates to its Friends and interested people.
